PureCart Systems
PureCart is a patented, award-winning grocery cart purification system. Increase market share and build customer loyalty by protecting your customers' health!
The Problem
Studies have shown there are 1 million germs on just ONE shopping cart handle*, and that food-borne bacteria is the cause of 75 million illnesses, 325,000 hospitalizations and 5,000 deaths annually!**
A recent study revealed 73% of shopping carts sampled tested positive for coliform (originating in feces and associated with poor sanitary conditions), which can cause disease in immuno-compromised individuals, the young or elderly. When comparing contamination levels in public facilities, note that shopping cart contamination levels far exceed those of public restrooms (see table).
The Solution
PureCart is a COMPLETE cart purification system, as opposed to wipes, which only kill germs on the portion of the cart that's wiped. PureCart's base solution has been tested to eliminate 99%+ of commonly found bacteria (like staphylococcus (including MRSA), typical E.coli, salmonella and listeria), yeast, fungus and mold found on a typical shopping cart. PureCart is affordable, safe, quick, easy to use, and, most importantly, it provides consumers with a healthier shopping experience!
Affordable—The PureCart system costs about a penny per cart per use, and can cost less per cart than the leading alternative (i.e., wipes). Payment options include an all-inclusive lease program or equipment purchase.
Comprehensive—PureCart purifies the entire cart, including the seat and basket. With the PureCart System, carts are purified before the consumer touches the cart, offering a great service to consumers.
Safe—PureCart's base sanitizing solution is registered by the FDA and EPA and is safe for human (eyes, nose, mouth, skin) as well as food contact.
Easy to Use—PureCart's solution is easy to refill. The system requires a 110 VAC electrical GFI outlet, and access to a fresh water supply. A spray wand allows other items, such as baskets and child seats, to be easily purified. System can be used with or without the spray booth.
Fast—Carts are purified by swiftly pushing them through the spray booth. The spray goes on as a fine mist and dries within minutes, depending on conditions.
Return on Investment—Due to the low cost of the system, the average retailer needs to attract less than 10 new customers in the first year to cover the cost of the system.
Differentiation—PureCart is also a very powerful strategic marketing tool that significantly differentiates retailers using the system.
How does it work?
As carts are brought back into the store, they are swiftly moved through a sturdy, yet portable enclosure that applies a low-pressure mist of a patented, no-rinse solution that is FDA and EPA registered, which is safe for human and food contact (breaks down into carbon dioxide, oxygen and water). The mist goes on wet and dries in minutes, depending on conditions. Each customer receives a completely purified cart each time they come into the store!
The system consists of a sturdy, compact fiberglass spray booth, and a simple-to-use master control cabinet. The spray booth features a fixed-guide system to ensure the carts track through the unit at the proper distance from the spray nozzles.
The master control cabinet is user-friendly, simple to operate, and reliable. It consists of a pump, tank, and control components. Start and stop the spray action via remote control. A hand spray wand allows other items, such as baskets and child seats, to be purified easily. Carts can also be hand-misted with the spray wand.
System requirements include a 110 VAC electrical GFI outlet, a fresh water supply, and a means to handle minimal runoff (drain or dry well).
PureCart also offers a second option consisting of the control cabinet with hand spray wand only (excludes spray booth) for smaller operations.
